The data we keep about you are your name and addresse, your affiliation and research interests (if you chose to supply them) and your email address. We also keep a record of membership payments. We use these data to keep in touch with you, to provide you with information about MGHG events and activities and to send you any other information we think may be of interest to you as an MGHG member. Your information will be held on a computer database by the MGHG, for use by is officers in administering / recording details of your membership and subscription payments, and to keep you informed of appropriate events.
Your information will be used only for purposes directly concerned to membership of the MGHG or its events.
You can at any time ask for a copy of the information held by us about yourself or to withdraw your consent for its use.
Website Information
When someone visits the MGHG website we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
